Rich Jones is a graduate of Norwich University and a retired American Airlines Captain. Prior to American, Rich spent 22 years in the USAF including 17 years flying the KC-135 as an instructor pilot, Operations Officer, and Reserve Advisor. After assignments as a GCI Controller in West Germany and the Philippines, Rich trained at Columbus AFB and followed that with tours at Pease AFB, Loring AFB, and Tinker AFB and has flown throughout Europe, Central and East Asia, and the Pacific.
He brings experience at regional, low cost, and legacy airlines on the EMB-145, F-100, MD-80, and B737-200, -800, and MAX. A long-time volunteer at the Allied Pilots Association he served on the membership Committee helping furloughed and recalled pilots. His APA experience led American Airlines to select Rich to interview pilot applicants.
